There are many Retirement Employee Associations (REAs) around the country, helping Scheme’s retirees stay in touch.

Most hold regular meetings and organise events, leisure activities, walks, excursions, lunches, guest speakers and more.

The Company supports the REAs by prefunding them on a triennial basis (based on membership numbers at March 2025) and pays £12.00 per member, for each of the three years. The next round of funding is planned for 2028 and will be based on the membership numbers at that time.
