This website is for members, dependants and beneficiaries of the National Grid UK Pension Scheme. The Scheme is also known as ‘NGUKPS’, or ‘the Gas Scheme’. When the Scheme was made up of Sections, it was known as ‘Section A’.
You’re likely to be a member of this Scheme if you joined National Grid on or before 31 March 2002, or if you previously worked for Transco, Lattice, BG plc or British Gas prior to 1997. You might have originally been a member of the Scheme but your Section has now transferred to a new scheme; or you might have a DB pension with another employer within the Gas or Electricity industries. The history of the Scheme and its previous sponsoring employers can be found here.
Which scheme do you belong to?
National Grid Transmission Pension Scheme (NGTPS): If you were a former member of Section B of the Scheme, in 2024 you were transferred to the NGTPS.
