A new name, the same trusted pension service

Barnett Waddingham (BW), the administrator of the National Grid UK Pension Scheme, has changed their name to Howden from the beginning of September. As a result, you’ll see some changes to the branding on pension scheme documents from BW to Howden. This name change follows Howden’s acquisition of BW earlier this year, bringing high quality pension and related advice capability to Howden. BW’s administration services will join with Howden’s specialist expertise to strengthen their high-quality service.

You don’t need to do anything – the same trusted, personal service remains in place. It simply means any documents you’re used to receiving from Barnett Waddingham will now come from Howden instead. If you’re currently receiving a pension, this won’t be affected and will continue to be paid to you in the same way.

Changes to your online Clarity account

If you’re registered for online services, you’ll also notice some changes to your Clarity from BW account. When you log into your Clarity account, you’ll see it’s now called Clarity from Howden and the website address has changed to https://account.clarityhowden.com

Don’t worry, you’ll be automatically redirected from the old website address to the new link at Howden.

Any emails you’re used to receiving from @barnett-waddingham.co.uk, for example monthly reminders when payslips are available, will come from Clarity from Howden; emails from the admin team will now come from NGUKGasPension@howden-group.co.uk
